Dragracingshow in Uppsala, Sweden

Yesterday there was a dragracinshow in Uppsala. We were there of course. It came quite a lot of people, maybe more than expected though it was the first time SHRA Uppsala arranged such a thing. 

About 40 to 50 cars and MC competed in the show (we guess) and there was some sales going on too. 

JDRF arranged an "reactioncompetition". It was Janne and Linus W who came from JDRF and arranged the competition and who had the equipment with them. 

As you can see on the picutre to the right you get a bit hungry when you work hard on dragracingshows... Janne tries out one of the nice hamburgers that SHRA Uppsala sold at the event. 

The car, that you can see on the picutre above, belongs to "Larsa". The visitors at the show voted that car to be "the best looking dragracingcar". And we doesn't disagree with the visitors!

Of course there was a lot of cars which looked great. Unfortunately, yesterday webmaster also was photographer, and we all can agree on that cars isn't the subject she is best on.

I just had to challenge Pernilla at the reactioncontest. If you look at our faces on this picture I guess I'm having the best reaction (but the webmaster guesses that it changed a bit from time to time).

Quite a lot of people wanted to test their reactions - of course you could test it for free. If you did test you also did compete in the reactioncontest. There was two different competitions, one for kids and one for adults. We, who worked at the competition, had a full days work. Especially the kids liked the competition and had a lot of fun.

If you were lycky - and if you were a kid - you could have the opportunity to try out a juniordragster. This little guy was lucky - and if you look at the picture you just can't disagree with that! But, webmaster suggest that he waits a couple of year before he races.... it can be nice to see were you're driving!

In may 2009 there's a new dragracingshow in Uppsala.
